Bridgwater Carnival 2011 was hit by exceptionally heavy rain in the afternoon, causing some flood damage, but dried up for the main even in the evening. There were a total of 118 entries and only two of the carts had major technical problems, with one of those having a complete failure, resulting in the performers walking.
Gremlins Carnival Club again won the Hardy Spicer Cup as best overall local entry, with Vagabonds CC as runners-up. Pentathlon CC won the Tableaux Open class, Masqueraders CC the Feature Open class and Newmarket CC won the Comedy Feature class. The Juvenile Cart class was won by Toppers JCC.
