Pico Teide

View of the peak of Mount Teide in Tenerife from the upper chair lift station, 200 metres from the summit. Mount Teide was formed around 2000 years ago, long after the collapse of the older Las Canadas volcano that formed the large caldera within which Mount Teide is situated.
